Summary
This pilot study tested whether adding protein supplements to the diet could lower cravings in people hospitalized for addiction. 28 participants spent one week with protein supplements and one week without, rating their cravings daily. The goal was to see if protein could ease the urge to use substances and reduce cravings for unhealthy foods.
