First seen Mar 25, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study looks at whether spreading protein evenly across meals or adding a leucine supplement to a fasting-style diet helps tactical athletes (like soldiers) maintain muscle, improve performance, and reduce muscle damage during 8 weeks of hard training. About 69 healthy men aged 18-35 will be assigned to one of three diet plans. Researchers will measure changes in lean body mass, strength, and markers of muscle injury.
