New pacing technique may cut heart failure risk in pacemaker users
NCT ID NCT05585411
First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 26, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study tests if a newer pacing method, left bundle branch area pacing (LBBAP), is better than standard right ventricular pacing (RVP) for people who need a pacemaker most of the time. The goal is to see if LBBAP reduces the risk of death, heart failure, or heart muscle damage. About 450 adults across 7 medical centers in South Korea will take part and be followed for 2 years.
