New device aims to take the guesswork out of prosthetic fit

NCT ID NCT07491614

Summary

This study is testing a new, non-invasive device that attaches to a prosthetic leg socket to measure how well it fits the user's residual limb. The goal is to provide a more objective way to assess socket fit, which is crucial for comfort, preventing skin issues, and improving mobility. Researchers will test the device with 18 adults who have an above-knee amputation to see if it works reliably and can detect differences between a loose and tight fit.
