New approach aims to shield patients from Radiation's harsh side effects

NCT ID NCT07251829

Summary

This study is testing whether a procedure called prostate artery embolization (PAE) can help reduce urinary side effects from radiation therapy in prostate cancer patients. Researchers want to see if blocking blood flow to the prostate before radiation treatment makes urinary problems less severe. The study will enroll 35 men with larger prostates who are scheduled for radiation therapy.
