New combo therapy shows promise for advanced prostate cancer

Summary

This study tests a combination of three treatments for prostate cancer that has spread to a few spots in the body. The treatments are a radioactive drug (radium-223), hormone therapy to lower testosterone, and precise radiation to tumors. The goal is to see if this triple approach works better at controlling the cancer. About 25 adults with this type of prostate cancer are taking part.
