Radiation breakthrough could free men from prostate cancer hormone therapy
NCT ID NCT06084338
Summary
This study is testing whether a combination of highly precise radiation treatments and a targeted radioactive drug can control advanced prostate cancer without continuing hormone-suppressing therapy. All 60 participants will stop their hormone-suppressing treatments and receive the radiation combination, with half then receiving testosterone replacement. The goal is to see if this approach can control cancer progression while potentially improving quality of life.
