New prostate cancer treatment strategy tested against standard care

NCT ID NCT07237269

Summary

This study compares two different hormone therapy approaches, both combined with radiation, for men with prostate cancer that has spread to nearby lymph nodes. Researchers want to see if adding two extra medications (abiraterone and prednisone) to standard hormone therapy improves cancer control over 5 years compared to standard hormone therapy alone. The trial will also track side effects and quality of life in 140 participants.
