NCT ID NCT06945172

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 04, 2026 · Updated 36 times

Summary

This study looks at how two different treatments for early-stage prostate cancer affect quality of life. One treatment removes the whole prostate (prostatectomy), while the other uses focused ultrasound to destroy only the tumor (focal HIFU). Researchers will follow 102 sexually active men for two years after treatment, asking them to complete questionnaires about their urinary, bowel, and sexual function. The goal is to see which approach leads to a better day-to-day experience for patients.
