New ultrasound technology challenges MRI for prostate cancer detection
NCT ID NCT05471128
Summary
This study compares two methods for detecting significant prostate cancer: MRI-guided biopsies and a newer micro-ultrasound technology called ExactVu. Researchers want to see which method better finds cancer that needs treatment, particularly in underserved communities with limited healthcare access. The study involves men who either have suspected prostate cancer or are already being monitored for low-risk cancer.
