First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding a common heart medication (propranolol) to standard hormone therapy before prostate removal can improve outcomes for men with high-risk prostate cancer. About 30 participants will receive the combination treatment for several months before surgery. The goal is to see if this approach can eliminate or greatly reduce the cancer in the removed prostate tissue.
