Summary

This study observes which of two common anesthesia drugs (propofol or ketamine) is safer when placing a breathing tube in critically ill patients. Researchers will watch 128 ICU patients to see which drug causes fewer dangerous drops in blood pressure or heart problems during the procedure. The goal is to gather information to help doctors choose the safest drug for these vulnerable patients.
