First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study looks at how the drug mannitol changes the amount of propofol (anesthesia) in the blood and urine during brain surgery. Forty adults having brain tumor surgery will be split into two groups: one gets mannitol, the other gets a saltwater solution. By measuring propofol levels, researchers hope to learn if mannitol affects anesthesia dosing.
