First seen May 04, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study looks at whether the usual dose of an antibiotic (piperacillin/tazobactam) is enough to prevent infections during major liver or pancreas surgery. About 60 adults having these surgeries will have their antibiotic levels measured. The goal is to see if current dosing works or if it needs to be adjusted for better protection.
