Brain bleed prognosis showdown: human judgment vs. clinical scores

NCT ID NCT04063982

First seen Feb 05, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study looked at 1085 people with brain bleeding (intracerebral or subarachnoid hemorrhage) to see if doctors, nurses, or standard risk scores are better at predicting long-term recovery. Researchers compared predictions made at the hospital with actual outcomes 3 and 6 months later. The goal is to improve how we estimate prognosis for these serious conditions.
