Progesterone injection showdown: are two versions equal?
NCT ID NCT07495007
First seen Mar 29, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study tested whether a new progesterone injection (Prontogest) works the same as the standard FDA-approved injection in healthy postmenopausal women. Twenty-six women received both versions under fasting conditions, and researchers measured drug levels in the blood to check for bioequivalence. The goal was to see if the new formulation can be used as a safe and effective alternative.
