Can a probiotic lozenges cure bad breath from braces?
NCT ID NCT05651503
Summary
This study tested whether taking probiotic lozenges for one month could improve oral hygiene and reduce bad breath in people wearing braces or clear aligners. It involved 120 participants, split into groups of teens with braces and adults with aligners, with half receiving the probiotic and half receiving a placebo. The goal was to see if the 'good bacteria' in the probiotics could help control plaque and odor better than standard care alone.
