First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study tested whether a probiotic called Lactobacillus delbrueckii subsp. bulgaricus LB42 can safely improve gut and immune function in healthy adults aged 18 to 45. Fifty-two participants took either the probiotic or a placebo daily and provided blood, urine, and stool samples. The main goal was to measure changes in a natural immune marker (LL-37) and gut bacteria composition. Results will help understand if this probiotic supports overall health.
