First seen Jan 19, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study tests whether a common probiotic, Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG, can help children with acute infectious diarrhea recover faster. About 480 children in Turkey will either get standard care plus the probiotic or standard care alone. Families will track symptoms for 10 days to see if the probiotic shortens the illness.
