Gut bugs vs. kid colds: can a probiotic cut down infections?

NCT ID NCT07297966

Summary

This study is testing whether a daily probiotic supplement can help reduce how often and how long young children get respiratory infections like colds. About 120 children under 6 years old who get frequent infections will take either the probiotic or a placebo for 8 weeks. Researchers will track symptoms and quality of life, and also check stool samples to see if changes in gut bacteria are linked to fewer illnesses.
