Gut health vs. dirty air: probiotic tested as pollution shield
NCT ID NCT07418489
Summary
This study is testing whether a daily probiotic supplement can help protect the body from the harmful effects of air pollution. It involves 70 healthy street market vendors in Turin, Italy, who work in highly polluted areas. Researchers will give some participants the probiotic and others a placebo for four months to see if it reduces inflammation and other biological damage caused by pollution particles.
