First seen Jan 08, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study will test whether plastic or metal probes give more accurate gum depth measurements around single-tooth dental implants. Sixty-four adults with healthy or mildly inflamed gums will have their implant pockets measured with both probe types. The goal is to see which probe material causes less discomfort and provides more reliable readings, helping dentists choose the best tool for implant checkups.
