First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study tests two hormone drugs (megestrol acetate and micronized progesterone) in 140 women with endometrial cancer or precancer before they have surgery. The goal is to see which drug reduces cancer cell growth more effectively and to learn how each works. Participants take the drug for a short time before their planned hysterectomy, and researchers compare tissue samples taken before and after treatment.
