First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study tests a gel made from a patient's own blood platelets (called PRF) to see if it helps close chronic wounds that won't heal on their own. About 16 adults with wounds like leg or pressure ulcers will receive the gel plus standard care. The main goal is to see if the wound fully closes and stays closed for two weeks.
