Smaller nutrient dose may be just as good for preventing malnutrition in infants

NCT ID NCT07451951

First seen Mar 12, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study tests whether a small-quantity nutrient supplement works as well as a medium-quantity one to prevent undernutrition in babies aged 6 to 12 months. About 980 children from low-resource communities in Pakistan will receive either supplement daily for 6 months. Researchers will measure growth and anemia to see if the smaller dose is equally effective.
