Summary

This study tests whether breathing in ketamine or magnesium sulfate before surgery can prevent or lessen sore throat after general anesthesia. 150 adults having elective surgery with a breathing tube will be randomly assigned to one of the two treatments. The goal is to find a better way to reduce throat discomfort without strong side effects.
