First seen Jan 26, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study looks at whether giving the blood thinner heparin only when needed, instead of routinely, can prevent blockage of the radial artery in the wrist after a heart catheterization. About 500 adults having this procedure will be randomly assigned to one of two groups. The goal is to see if the selective approach works just as well or better, while possibly reducing side effects and nursing time.
