Summary
This study tested whether a vaginal hormone (progesterone) or a cervical support device (pessary) could help prevent early birth in women pregnant with twins who had a short cervix. Over 600 women participated to see if these treatments could safely help babies stay in the womb longer. The goal was to reduce the serious health risks associated with being born too early.
