First seen Apr 26, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study tests whether a 7-day continuous IV drip of propranolol (a drug usually used for heart conditions) can safely prevent pneumonia in people who have had a severe brain bleed (intracerebral hemorrhage). The trial will enroll 30 adults and aims to find the best dose while checking for side effects. It is an early-stage, open-label study, meaning everyone knows they are getting the drug.
