Mouth care may stop lung infections after brain bleed

Summary

This study tests whether improved oral hygiene combined with antibiotics can prevent pneumonia in people who have had a brain hemorrhage. About 440 adults with small to moderate brain bleeds will be randomly assigned to receive either standard care or enhanced mouth care plus antibiotics. The goal is to see if this approach reduces lung infections and improves recovery.
