New hope for Nausea-Free stem cell transplants

NCT ID NCT07413809

First seen Feb 19, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study tests whether a combination of three anti-nausea drugs (fosaprepitant, tropisetron, and olanzapine) works better than the standard combo to prevent delayed nausea and vomiting after high-dose chemotherapy in multiple myeloma patients receiving their own stem cells. About 92 adults will take part. The goal is to see if the new regimen helps more patients avoid vomiting and severe nausea without needing extra rescue medication.
