First seen Jan 21, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a special nursing care plan can help prevent deep vein thrombosis (DVT) in adults who have heart surgery using a heart-lung machine. About 67 participants will be split into two groups: one gets the new nursing protocol, the other gets standard care. The goal is to see if the new approach lowers the number of blood clots and related problems within three months after surgery.
