New gel could stop tooth decay in preschoolers

Summary

This study tests a silver diamine fluoride (SDF) gel to prevent cavities in 1,500 healthy preschool children. The gel is applied every six months for two years and compared to standard fluoride varnish. The goal is to see if the SDF gel better protects teeth from decay.
