New combo attack before surgery shows promise for aggressive sarcomas

Summary

This study tests a new approach for people with high-risk soft tissue sarcoma that has not spread. Before surgery, patients receive a combination of radiation, chemotherapy, and an immunotherapy drug (sintilimab). The goal is to shrink the tumor enough to make surgery more effective. The study will enroll 52 participants and first check safety, then measure how many tumors respond to the treatment.
