NCT ID NCT04528589
First seen May 13, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study looked at how pregnant women with a history of childhood trauma experienced psychotherapy during pregnancy. Researchers interviewed 20 women and their therapists to understand what helped or hindered progress, and how the mother's ability to reflect on her own and her baby's feelings changed over time. The goal was to learn how to better tailor therapy for this high-risk group and prevent trauma from affecting the next generation.
