Researchers dig into teeth angles to predict palate expansion success

NCT ID NCT07095374

First seen Nov 18, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study looks at 200 people getting a palate expander to treat a narrow upper jaw. Researchers want to see if the angle of the upper premolars on X-rays can predict how much the jaw will widen. The goal is to better understand the treatment, not to test a new therapy.
