New Pre-Surgery 'Boot Camp' aims to safeguard elderly spine patients
NCT ID NCT06140797
Summary
This study tested a special pre-surgery program designed to help older adults (75+) recover better from spine fusion surgery. The program combined physical exercises, nutritional support, and brain training before the operation with standard post-surgery recovery care. Researchers compared this combined approach to standard care alone to see if it led to fewer complications and better recovery for 164 participants.
