Can postpartum education protect new Mothers' hearts?
NCT ID NCT07420465
Summary
This study aims to understand how blood pressure and early signs of heart disease change in women during late pregnancy and the first six months after giving birth in Accra, Ghana. It will enroll 200 women, some with and some without pregnancy-related high blood pressure, to track these changes. The research also tests whether providing education after birth helps women better monitor their heart health, with the goal of developing future screening programs to reduce long-term heart disease risk.
