Ultrasound patterns may predict lymph node disease without immediate biopsy

NCT ID NCT07478913

First seen Mar 20, 2026 · Last updated Jun 19, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study looked at 50 adults with enlarged lymph nodes in the chest to see if ultrasound patterns seen during a bronchoscopy (EBUS) could predict whether the nodes were benign or malignant. Doctors compared the ultrasound features to the actual biopsy results. The goal was to see if these patterns could guide which lymph nodes to sample and where to puncture them for a more accurate diagnosis.
