Brainwave test aims to end guesswork in PTSD medication

NCT ID NCT04183205

Summary

This study tested whether a simple brainwave test could predict which veterans with PTSD or depression would benefit from common antidepressant medications (SSRIs). The goal was to help doctors choose the right treatment faster, moving away from the current trial-and-error approach. The study was terminated early and involved a small group of participants.
