Doctors develop tool to predict breathing trouble during lung operations

NCT ID NCT06376123

Summary

This study aimed to create a prediction tool to help doctors foresee which patients might experience low oxygen levels during a specific type of lung surgery. Researchers collected routine pre-surgery health data from 40 adults to build a model that estimates the risk of this common complication. The goal is to allow surgical teams to plan ahead and take preventive steps to keep patients safer during their operations.
