Finger clip and sound waves could give instant answer on surgery numbing
NCT ID NCT07197281
Summary
This study aims to find a faster, more reliable way to confirm if a numbing nerve block for arm surgery is successful. Researchers will observe 50 patients having a specific arm surgery, using a simple finger sensor and an ultrasound device to measure blood flow changes right after the block is given. The goal is to see if these quick, objective measurements can accurately predict whether the patient is properly numbed, replacing slower and more subjective checks.
