Summary

This study tests whether a quick neck ultrasound can predict dangerous drops in blood pressure after anesthesia in adults with chronic liver disease. Researchers will measure blood flow in the carotid artery before and during anesthesia in 35 patients. If the ultrasound readings are accurate, doctors could one day use this simple test to prevent complications.
