Can a simple ultrasound predict hernia repair outcomes?

NCT ID NCT06306976

First seen May 22, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026

Summary

This study looks at whether a special ultrasound can measure the stiffness of belly muscles in people with a type of hernia (incisional hernia). The goal is to see if these measurements can help doctors predict how easily the hernia can be closed during surgery. About 70 people having hernia repair will take part, along with 10 volunteers without hernias for comparison.
