New markers may spot diabetes in pregnancy earlier

Summary

This study looks at two new ways to predict gestational diabetes and large babies in pregnant women. Researchers will compare skin autofluorescence and glycated albumin to the standard HbA1c test. The goal is to find better markers for early detection. About 800 pregnant women will take part.
