Summary
This study looked at 590 people having surgery for colorectal cancer to see if a simple tool could predict who might become confused or delirious after the operation. Researchers combined patients' medical history, blood test results, and a measure called the TyG index to create a risk score. The goal is to help doctors quickly identify high-risk patients so they can provide extra care and improve recovery.
