GPS-Guided prostate radiation: could 3 doses be as good as 5?
NCT ID NCT06117059
First seen Jan 12, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study tests whether giving only 3 high-precision radiation doses (instead of the usual 5) is safe and effective for men with low- or intermediate-risk prostate cancer. It uses a special tracking system, like a GPS, to keep the radiation beam aimed exactly at the prostate and away from the bladder and rectum. About 100 men will take part, and researchers will closely monitor side effects for up to 2 years.
