Summary
This study aims to improve how a powerful antibiotic (ceftazidime-avibactam) is dosed in patients aged 60 and older. By measuring drug levels in the blood and using computer modeling, researchers hope to create a personalized dosing plan that maximizes effectiveness while minimizing toxicity. The study will enroll 150 participants and use ongoing monitoring to refine the dosing approach.
