First seen Apr 12, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study looks at whether doing specific flexibility exercises before spinal fusion surgery can improve outcomes for teens aged 10-18 with scoliosis. Researchers want to see if these exercises can reduce the number of vertebrae that need to be fused, shorten surgery time, and lower hospital costs. Participants will either follow their usual care or add daily 30-minute exercises for several months before surgery.
