Engineered immune cells take on tough blood cancers in new trial

NCT ID NCT06383572

First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study tests a new treatment for people with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) or myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) that have come back or not responded to standard therapy. The treatment uses specially engineered natural killer (NK) cells designed to recognize and attack cancer cells carrying a protein called PRAME. Participants first receive chemotherapy to prepare their body, then the NK cells are infused. The goal is to find a safe dose and see if this approach can help control the disease.
